The Story

This design came from the idea that long before medicine was packaged and labeled, healing lived in quiet spaces—wooden boxes, careful hands, and knowledge passed softly from one person to another. Remedies weren’t rushed. They were chosen with intention, prepared with patience, and stored with respect.

I imagined an old apothecary keeper who believed that every scent carried a memory and every plant had a purpose. The box became their map: names etched so nothing was forgotten, symbols carved so meaning outlasted words. Not a display piece, but a working companion—opened at night, early mornings, or whenever balance needed to be restored.

This box exists because I believe functional objects can hold stories. That care can be built into the grain. That healing doesn’t need to be loud or complicated—sometimes it just needs a place to live.

The result is a functional storage box with a botanically inspired design.  Egyptian inspired hieroglyphs and botanical motifs referencing classic aromatics including jasmine, myrrh, sandalwood, lotus, and red amber.

The piece is built from solid birch, strong and durable.  Interior space is sized for 4 oz. bottle essential oils.
